Welcome to Harr Plaza

Harr Plaza is a five-story community overlooking the Black River and near downtown Elyria. This 100-unit community is designated for elderly and persons with disabilities. There are one- and two-bedroom homes available, including ten ADA-accessible homes.

All downtown Elyrias charming features are only a few blocks away; including the downtown square, many restaurants, the public library, and the East Falls Riverwalk. Downtown Elyria hosts a number of events in its square throughout the year, most notably the Apple Festival, Third Thursdays, Cleveland Pops Orchestra in the Square, and many other free-to-the-community events. Raise Up Resident Services also provides many services to the residents of Harr Plaza, including meal boxes for senior community members, referrals to other agencies, Green Thumb program, a resident watch program, an active tenant council, and other programs. Lorain County Transit provides affordable local transportation.

Harr Plaza has on-site laundry facilities, two activity rooms, monitored reception system during office hours, keyless fobbed building entry, an intercom system that allows guests to enter the building without the resident needing to leave the building, and a professional and dedicated management team. Harr Plaza also has a beautiful resident-managed community garden that provides fresh produce to its residents.
